EHS International 🤝 Giving back to our local communities – Ringaskiddy Community Centre
We’re proud to share an inspiring update from our recent community initiative in Ringaskiddy! Under the expert leadership of Mary Foley, our Training Director, EHS International recently facilitated a crucial training program at the Ringaskiddy Community Centre, where we trained 11 new Cardiac First Responders over four evenings.
This initiative, featured in The Carrigdhoun newspaper, is a testament to our commitment to enhancing emergency medical response capabilities within local communities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mary Foley for her dedication and exemplary training skills that have significantly bolstered local emergency preparedness.
Additionally, we were pleased to support the Ringaskiddy Community Centre by donating a new First Aid Kit and covering the certification fees with PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council). These contributions help ensure that the community is equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
A special thanks to Mary Jordan from the Centre’s Management Committee, who has been instrumental in upgrading the Centre’s emergency facilities, including overseeing the installation of a new defibrillator. Thanks also to the new volunteers like Gary Jordan, who have stepped up to join this vital effort.
We are inspired by the community’s enthusiasm and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful project. A big thank you to everyone involved, including our partner Chris Mee, for making this possible. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many and strengthening community resilience.

Mary Jordan is a key figure in the Centre’s Management Committee and has championed the installation of defibrillator in the Centre following the sad passing of her husband. Together with her son, Gary Jordan, they are working to improve local response facilities for Cardiac Emergencies by bringing together a team in the Shanbally, Ringaskiddy and Raffeen areas.
Well done to Mary and Gary on this fantastic initiative which we are sure will save lives in the local community.
